Gigi came to Grasshopper in June 2023, freshly graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a Master of Fine Arts degree. When she's not at the shop, she's busy in her Stoughton studio, making woven and knitted textile works. She considers her work to be at the intersection of art and technology, using computerized looms and knitting machines to assist in the creation of intricate illustrations made from yarn and thread. 

 

Gigi has developed a special line of knitted goods just for Grasshopper – think cheery scarves and cozy cushions – featuring witty text and illustrations. Whether you're feeling spirited, sweet, or snarky, there's an option for you!
